Ghettosocks Set To Open For The GZA!

Things have been pretty busy lately. I have been working on my new solo album while pushing the new mixtape “I CAN MAKE YOUR DOG FAMOUS” -mixed by the almighty DJ JORUN BOMBAY. The feedback has been good, but the real “nation-wide” push is yet to commence.

Anyways, after doing two small European tours, (I guess it will be three by the end of October) I will be returning to Halifax to open for one of my personal favorites- THE GENIUS. I have been a GZA fan since junior high and when my people organizing the Halifax Pop Explosion reached out and offered me the opportunity- I snapped it up quick!

This show will be my second encounter with the WU. The only other time I have ever seen any of the clan live- was in Montreal during JAY-Z’s “HARD KNOCK LIFE TOUR” with Methodman (and Redman.) Funny thing is- Red and Meth are also coming to Halifax earlier that month so technically it will be the third instance. lol.

I personally want to hear a lot of jams off of “LIQUID SWORDS”- duh- but I also want to hear lots of stuff off of the GZA and MUGGS’ “GRANDMASTERS”. It would be nice to hear some select verses from other WU-releases like “WU-TANG FOREVER” and “ENTER THE 36 CHAMBERS.” Even though I am not a great fan of “WORDS FROM THE GENIUS,” I would definitely like to hear one or two jams off of that record.
