Jay-Z Has His Own Vodka…

This post is more of a public service announcement rather than a blog entry. Just letting you hungry people know that yes, there is a sandwich named after me, and yes, it is delicious. From the mind that brought you “Read-a-Book”, “Step to a T-Rex”, and the “I Can Make Your Dog Famous Mixtape” comes the Ghettosocks sandwich: grilled cheese on strewn bread with avocado and tomato. Boom.

If you’re wondering how you can get your mitts on one of these tasty treats, follow these instructions:

STEP 1) Be in Halifax on a weekday (the Ghettosocks is not featured on the weekend brunch menu…yet!)

STEP 2) Go to the Good Food Emporium (Formerly Bob & Lori’s) at 2179 Gottingen St. (Hours: Mon/Tue 7am-6pm; Wed-Fri 7am-9pm; Sat/Sun 10am-2pm)

STEP 3) Tell Carol, or another friendly person behind the cash, “I would like a Ghettosocks, please.” Then go and sit down, and look around at some of the art or people posted up in the place. Try and remain calm- the sandwich will come to you.

STEP 4) Remembering to chew, give the sandwich a new home. Assimilate it into your collective. Step your biomass up a couple notches.

(Sandwich pictured with Ceasar salad- I strongly recommend the spinach salad…if they have spinach.)
